Wunderkammer Museum

Welcome to the Wunderkammer Museum

A world of cultures and myths to explore.
Categorical boundaries yet to be defined.

"There ’ s some order here — there are boxes with labels — but its not an order we ’ re used to seeing. Is it aesthetic? Phylogenetic? By location? Is there a clear line between human and animal, natural and artificial?"

— Dr Albrecht Hilary- Wunderkammer Founder

Our Vision, Mission and Values

The Wunderkammer is a fictional museum, event and exhibition space where history and the biases with which it is presented to the general public are unraveled, examined, critiqued and parodied before being packaged up for your education and entertainment.

A peculiar marriage of an academic background in the history of art and a career background in museum marketing alongside a lifelong passion for history and heritage, the Wunderkammer is a passion project that hopes to share the vitality of our past and critically examine the way we interact with our past as seen through the lens of museum spaces. Visit the blog to learn more about the mystery of history, read reviews on heritage sites and stay up to date with our ongoing archive project and our soon-to-be exhibition: Facing Staircase House.

Keep in touch via our sporadically updated social media accounts or email redactedmuseum@gmail.com to speak to our illustrious Founder, Senior Curator, Head of Collections, Development Officer and Marketing Lead. They also do our blog.
