About this

An experimental platform for exhibition curation.

Museums can be static and academic writing unintelligible. Let’s do something about that. Well I will and you can watch.

If you’re on this page I assume it means you have read my blog, perused the hallowed halls of the Wunderkammer museum, or found me through one of my external projects or articles. I will also assume you liked it enough to consider finding out more about me and my work. Well, look no further -

My name might be Lydia and I have done some silly things for heritage.

If you ever find yourself on a four day hike in the Colombian rainforest because you really wanted to go to Peru to see Machu Picchu but your friend wanted to go to Colombia and you chose last time so it was only fair she picked the country, so you find an ancient lost city in the Sierra Nevada mountains to recreate the vibe, but it’s only accessible on said four day trek, so you pay £300 each to go on it and have The Worst Afternoon of Your Life climbing a hill for five straight hours in tropical heat then you will know what I mean. I think I have an obsession.

The thing is though I really love history and I love visiting heritage sites, and unfortunately no one will hire me to work on any of them (yet!) so instead I write a blog, occasionally pitch my ideas to organisations and get traction and take placements where I can. And what do you know, lucky you! You can read all about them right here.
